The Keepers includes four of Montreal’s finest musicians: Rick St. Jean, Bob Burgess, Bill Hill and Doug Gravelle. Rick, on rhythm guitar and lead vocalist, was a founding member of the Munks in the 60's. They recorded and played extensively in Montreal and Eastern Ontario. Bob, lead singer and bass player of the legendary Montreal garage band, The Haunted, co-wrote the single 1 2 5. Bill, on guitar, started playing at the age of 12. He played with Dave Nicholls and the Coins, JB and The Playboys (kings of the Montreal Rock-N-Roll scene in the mid-60s), and Freedom North with Rick St. Jean. In the mid 70's to mid 80's, he owned the recording studio, "Montreal Sound.” Doug, on drums and vocalist, is a veteran entertainer formerly of the 60's and 70’s recording group "The Bells." Their recordings included Moody Manitoba Morning, Fly Little White Dove Fly, and the gold record single, Stay Awhile. Stay Awhile is also the title of a documentary on the group that was released at “Hot Docs” in Banff and Toronto in 2015.
